All learning activities and experiences are designed to develop students’ critical and reflective thinking skills as well as the interpersonal skills necessary to work collaboratively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
Practice experiences occur concurrently with theoretical study. As Langara College is situated in a large urban centre, nursing students have access to a variety of practice areas, many of which are unique or well known both nationally and internationally.
Students learn in the Nursing Education Resource Centre, a well-equipped laboratory setting, a simulation lab with human model simulators, and a small lab for independent practice. Faculty members and lab demonstrators are available to assist students in the development of their nursing knowledge and skills.
