Vancouver, BC – The challenges of marketing a local craft beer company in a highly competitive Metro Vancouver market provided the perfect opportunity for MARK 2400 students to put their new marketing knowledge into action.

Throughout the semester, MARK 2400 students learnt about different promotional strategies and how leveraging these channels can help to deliver effective marketing campaigns.

Simulating a real business situation, students were asked to develop a campaign for East Vancouver company, Parallel 49 Brewing. Applying their new knowledge, students presented a detailed campaign, with details on budget, media strategy, and creative concepts.

Students Brian Li, Murphy Miu, Nicholas Mackenzie, and Praditya Wirjawan were recently recognized for their work receiving a $500 award at an Association of Integrated Marketers (AIM) luncheon on May 7.

The opportunity to work with clients in a real-world situation provides marketing students with practical experience that better prepares them for the workforce.
