Arts and Science (Engineering)

The Arts and Science (Engineering) Certificate Program provides courses needed for equivalence to the first year of the University of British Columbia Applied Science Program. Most of the courses are courses that would be taken by many students planning further studies in the physical sciences at any college or university, but two of the courses PHYS 1219 and CPSC 1090 are particular to UBC’s Applied Science program. The Program is sufficient on its own for a Langara College certificate and can serve as the first year towards a diploma in Arts and Science or an Associate of Science degree.
