Langara College Nursing Applications

Effective December 16, 2009 and until further notice, Langara College will not be accepting applications to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Nursing Transition (NTP) Programs. The temporary suspension of applications is due to the incredible number of applications already received for the programs. Please check the Langara College website in October 2010 for program and application updates.

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program equips students with the broad base of knowledge and skills necessary to provide professional nursing care in an increasingly complex health care system.

The Langara College Nursing Department offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing using the Collaborative Curriculum, revised May 2004. Upon completion of the program students are eligible to write the Canadian Registered Nurse Exam (CRNE).

The Nursing Department offers the Nursing Transition Program for Licensed Practical Nurses and Registered Psychiatric Nurses.

Please note, as the program continues to evolve, the information presented on the College website and in the College Calendar is subject to change.

Nursing at Langara College

We believe that we have a unique and innovative program reflecting current changes in health care education, health care, and the health needs of our society.

As Langara College is situated in a large urban centre, nursing students have access to a multiplicity of practice areas, many of which are unique (Ross Street Sikh Temple) or well known both nationally and internationally (BC Children’s Hospital).

Vancouver is also noted for its multicultural perspective. Students studying nursing at Langara College will find their learning experiences enriched through the contributions of faculty members and students who represent many of these cultures.nursing
