Coach Cameron MacGillivary joined Langara as its women’s basketball head coach in July 2022. A highly experienced leader, he spent 13 years in head and assistant coaching roles at various levels throughout the Lower Mainland. He holds bachelor’s degrees in both kinesiology and education, as well as a master of education focusing on health and physical education, all from the University of British Columbia.
Prior to joining the Falcons, MacGillivary was the lead assistant coach at Capilano University. He also served as head coach for Seaquam Secondary’s senior boys’ and North Delta Secondary’s junior girls’ teams. A career highlight came in 2014 when MacGillivary served as assistant coach for Sir Winston Churchill Secondary’s BC AAAA championship senior boys’ team.
