Tristen Foy click "+" to view resume

Tristen Foy (he/him) is an aspiring theatre artist originally from "Winnipeg" and now living in "Vancouver". Since Fall 2018 he has been studying acting at Studio 58 and has grown more as an artist and human being in that time than he could have ever imagined. Before Studio 58 Tristen studied theatre arts at both the University of Winnipeg and University of Alberta. Tristen’s so excited to be stepping out into the real world and once graduated hopes to further develop as a playwright and director in addition to acting in theatre, film, television, voice acting, and any other creative projects he might find his way into. Studio 58 acting credits include FAMILY CHRISTMAS (SIX OF ONE), THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, EVERYBODY, CERULEAN BLUE, A LIFE SENTENCE (FOURPLAY), and THE WAX IN HIS WINGS (RISKY NIGHTS). Studio 58 writing credits include EVERYONE LOVES A MYSTERY as part of SIX OF ONE: NEW PLAY FESTIVAL. Tristen would like to extend his immense gratitude and thanks to his family, the staff and faculty of Studio 58, all of his fellow graduates in the class of Spring 2022, and of course his original term AKA the graduates of Spring 2021. I could not have done it without any of you.

Laine Gillies click "+" to view resume

Laine Gillies is a multi-disciplinary artist from the unceded territory of the Secwépemc people (Kamloops, B.C.) where she performed in many shows at Thompson Rivers University and Project X Theatre. Unable to deny her love of acting any longer, she decided to further her education in performing arts at Studio 58 on the unceded territory of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations. Her most recent credits at Studio 58 include: FAMILY CHRISTMAS, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, EVERYBODY, CERULEAN BLUE, TOMORROWLOVE, and I, MYSELF AM STRANGE AND UNUSUAL (Risky Nights). Laine’s favourite character to play so far has been Riff Raff in THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW. She also has experience in stage combat and sword fighting and has rediscovered her love for dance and singing throughout this program. She hopes to continue her craft in theatre, film/tv, voice acting, and pretty much anything she can get her hands on! Laine is incredibly grateful for the support from faculty and staff at Studio 58, and holds lots of love for her friends and classmates — she couldn’t have chosen a better group of people to learn from and with over the last three years.

Cassidy Ihlen click "+" to view resume

Cassidy Ihlen is an actor and singer born and raised in cozy Nelson, BC. Her passion for the performing arts has been evident from a young age, and she was thrilled to move to the big city to start her training at Studio 58. She is incredibly grateful to learn, live, and play on the unceded traditional territory of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations. Selected Studio 58 credits include: THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, EVERYBODY, CERULEAN BLUE, and TOMORROWLOVE. Cassidy is committed to continuing her journey as an artist through film/TV and theatre. She would like to thank the Studio 58 staff and faculty for their ongoing support and guidance. She also extends a very special thanks to her Mom and Dad for always pushing her to follow her dreams.

Sofie Kane click "+" to view resume

Sofie Kane is a bilingual, first-generation Peruvian-Canadian actor, singer, dancer and all-around lover of the arts. She is grateful to have the privilege to live and work on the unceded traditional territory of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations. Sofie was born into a culturally diverse and artistic family who nourished her passion for music and performance. At eight years old, she took to the stage and hasn’t looked back since. She is a graduate of Lord Byng’s Theatre and Choral programs, as well as a recipient of various musical theatre awards. Her credits at Studio 58 include: OLD MAN AND LITTLE MAN-Six of One (Bear), EVERYONE LOVES A MYSTERY-Six of One (Actor 3), THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW (Janet), EVERYBODY (Girl/Time), and TOMORROWLOVE (Mischa). Look for her in an episode of MGM/EPIX’s new series BILLY THE KID (2022). Sofie is excited to see what’s in store for her after graduation and looks forward to continuing to evolve as an artist on stage and screen. She is thankful for her Studio 58 family and wonderful faculty and staff: A special thanks to Kerry and Brad for their wisdom, guidance and unparalleled kindness. Sofie is eternally indebted to her parents (all four of them!), brother, and all who have encouraged and supported her along the way. Mil Gracias!

Sarah is an actor, visual artist, & writer from Vancouver, BC.* She was born an avid performer and spent her teenage years studying acting at Arts Umbrella’s Pre-Professional Theatre Program. After high school, she spent a year pursuing acting at the University of Victoria. She looks back fondly on her memories there, especially working on the improv team and on projects such as ARE WE ALL DEAD? (Student Alternative Theatre Co.) and CHAI TIME (InterCultural Association of Greater Victoria). Sarah started at Studio 58 in 2019 and is amazed that she’s already graduating! Her recent work at Studio 58 includes BUDDING (SIX OF ONE), THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, EVERYBODY, CERULEAN BLUE, I, MYSELF, AM STRANGE AND UNUSUAL (RISKY NIGHTS), and TOMORROWLOVE. Sarah looks forward to continuing acting as well as pursuing her other artistic interests, especially playwriting, after graduation. Cece Ludwar click "+" to view resume

Cece Ludwar (they/them) is an actor, fashion designer and drag artist who is privileged to live in Vancouver, BC on the unceded territories of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Səl ̓ ílwətaʔ/ Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations. Born and raised in Surrey, BC, Cece quickly moved to Vancouver to explore their artistic passions. While attending Studio 58, they developed an interest in sewing and design and honed their skills throughout the pandemic. Gaylien, their drag persona, was developed during FORT (RISKY NIGHTS) and she continues to be an amazing creative outlet and form of expression. Other Studio 58 acting credits include: BUDDING (SIX OF ONE), THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, EVERYBODY, CERULEAN BLUE and THEATRE: THE PLAY. During THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, Cece not only played the role of Magenta, but also was Head Makeup Artist and a consultant on the production. Cece is eager to start their career in film/TV, voiceover, theatre, fashion and modelling. Moving forward, they are committed to being a well rounded artist and plan on continuously creating work that inspires and challenges them. Katherine (She/Her) is an interdisciplinary artist completing her final year of Acting training at Studio 58. Based in Vancouver, BC, she is grateful to live, work, and create on the traditional and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. Studio 58 Credits include: HOW TO F*CK UP A FUNERAL and EVERYONE LOVES A MYSTERY (SIX OF ONE), THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, CERULEAN BLUE, I, MYSELF, AM STRANGE AND UNUSUAL (RISKY NIGHTS), and TOMORROWLOVE. Prior to attending Studio 58, Katherine developed a strong foundation in musical theatre. She trained with the Arts Umbrella Pre-Professional Musical Theatre Troupe and the Arts Club Senior Musical Theatre Intensive. Katherine is a proud recipient of the BC Arts Council Scholarship (2020, 2021) and the Cheryl Hutcherson Memorial Award (2021). Outside credits include: EAST VAN PANTO: ALICE IN WONDERLAND (Theatre Replacement), KING ARTHUR’S COURT (Metro Theatre), THE FANTASTICKS (Stage 43), and INTO THE WOODS: IN CONCERT (RCMT). In addition, Katherine has worked as an Assistant Stage Manager and Assistant Choreographer. She also enjoys sharing her love of the Arts with youth as an instructor at Arts Umbrella! Katherine would like to thank her Mom and her instructors at Studio 58 for their ongoing encouragement and support.

Raquel Neumann (She/Her) is a theatre/ film artist and creator originally from Surrey, British Columbia, on the traditional and stolen land of the Semiahmoo, Katzie and Kwantlen First Nations People. Raquel started her career in the performing arts as a teenager and trained with Arts Umbrellas Junior and Senior theatre troupes. She also did their Young Directors Program with Paul Moniz de Sa. Recent credits at Studio 58 include: Aspen/Icarus/ Co-creator: THE WAX IN HIS WINGS, Sharon: SNOWFLAKES (FOURPLAY), Officer Delaire/ Pauline Understudy: CERULEAN BLUE, Everybody/Somebody/ Skeleton: EVERYBODY, Phantom/ Usherette Swing: THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, Taylor: AFTERMATH (SIX OF ONE) Raquel is ecstatic to graduate and sink her teeth into the industry, but will forever cherish the memories, the good and the ugly, these walls have seen. She is extremely grateful to her friends, family, the Studio 58 faculty, both her class cohorts and everyone else who has supported her from the sidelines. I thank you all a million times and more for the love and guidance over these last few years.

Sophia is an actor and theatre creator living and working on the traditional and unceded territory of the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh and Musqueam First Nations. Select credits include HOW TO F*CK UP A FUNERAL (SIX OF ONE), THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, EVERYBODY, CERULEAN BLUE, URINETOWN (Studio 58), ONE OF A KIND (Vancouver International Children’s Festival), PAPA RECORDS EVERYTHING (#ArtApart Festival), and THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES (UBC). Select film credits include DAISYCHAIN (Hardly Famous Productions), FINISH THE JOB (Hoax Studios), RISE OF THE BAT (Chrash Productions), and ASSURANCE (VFS). Directing credits include VENUS AND MOON (The Cultch: Ignite Festival), and HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL (Assistant Director, UBC). Production Management credits include HIVE 2019 (Hive Collective) and BARE: THE MUSICAL (Eternal Theatre Collective). Sophia has trained at Railtown Actors Studio since 2016, and at The Arts Club Musical Theatre Intensive for three consecutive summers. She is the recipient of the Andree Karas scholarship, and the John F Parker scholarship for showing exceptional promise in the theatre arts. She will complete an Honours Degree in Theatre Studies from The University of British Columbia in 2023. Sophia is excited to keep exploring film and theatre performance, as well as directing and writing.

Angus Yam (he/him) is an artist based in Vancouver, B.C. on the unceded traditional territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. Born in Hong Kong, he is fluent in both Cantonese and Mandarin. Angus will be graduating from Studio 58's Acting Program in Spring 2022 and is incredibly grateful for all his peers and mentors. Some recent acting credits include: CHIMERICA (United Players of Vancouver), TOMORROWLOVE: OFFICE FRIENDS (Studio 58), CERULEAN BLUE (Studio 58), EAST VAN PANTO: ALICE IN WONDERLAND - Chorus (Theatre Replacement), THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW - Brad (Studio 58), SIX OF ONE: THE BANYAN TREE - Ang (Studio 58). Angus translated the script for TomorrowLove: Office Friends into Cantonese for Studio 58’s first ever non-English main stage production. He is committed to his career and artistic development in Theatre and Film/TV. Besides the guitar, Angus also loves to play a sport people here call “soccer” (but it’s really “football”) in his spare time. As he really should, Angus would like to shout out to his mother and sister for their love and tolerance for him from day one.
