Volunteer and Spectator Parking
February 12-28, 2010
For Olympic spectators and personnel:
To access the parking lot, enter through the security checkpoint at 49th Avenue and Columbia Street. VANOC personnel will be on site to assist with traffic direction and parking. The Olympic bus boarding area is on the east side of Cambie Street, and is a 5-minute walk along 49th Avenue.
Please be advised that from Feb 4 - Mar 1, street parking restrictions will be in effect along 49th Ave. and the surrounding neighborhood. Please read signs carefully.

We strongly encourage guests to arrive using alternative transportation and public transit. Langara College is conveniently located and can be easily reached using SkyTrain (Canada Line) and major bus routes on 49th Avenue and Main Street. Please be reminded that event tickets include public transit on the day of the event.
Passengers can also be dropped off at the designated zone directly in front of the college.
As a proud Community Contributor to the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, parking facilities at Langara College will be used for the VANOC Departure Hub for Whistler Creekside staging and events from February 12–28, 2010. During this period, access to the surface lots and parkade will be restricted to authorized personnel and spectators holding Olympic bus network tickets.
Notes:
- Only passengers with pre-booked Olympic bus network tickets will be allowed entry to the college parking area
- Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure
- 24 hour parking and stopping restrictions will be in place along Cambie Street, 49th Avenue, and surrounding residential areas
- Bike racks are available for use throughout the campus
Parking Schedule:
Feb 12–28 (Olympic Games period):
- Parkade and surface lots will be restricted to employees and Olympic bus network ticketholders
- Spectators will access the parking lot from 49th Avenue
- Employees will access parking from Ontario Street
- VANOC staff and spectator will load and depart from Cambie Street
- Buses will be returning passengers to the College on 49th Avenue
- Daily operations will begin at 4:00 am
- Spectator traffic will be heaviest from 7:30 am until 8:30 am daily
- Bus return times will be scattered, with the final bus departing Whistler Creekside two hours after the last event
