What are the benefits of U-Pass BC?
Students can use the U-Pass BC for all bus, Skytrain, and Seabus service in Metro Vancouver without paying additional fares including the YVR airport surcharge. U-Pass BC holders receive a discount when using West Coast Express and the pass is also valid for use with HandyDART services.
Students can claim a non-refundable transit tax credit on the U-Pass BC fee assessed. Annual receipts are available for printing on mylangara.
How much will the U-Pass BC cost?
The U-Pass BC fee is $30 per month guaranteed until March 31st, 2013. The cost per semester for eligible students will be $120 in most programs. Fees are assessed upon registration and due when all fees are payable.
How do I use my U-Pass BC?
Each U-Pass BC will be valid for the calendar month indicated on the front of the pass. Students will need to carry both the U-Pass BC and a valid Langara student ID card at all times when using transit and present them to TransLink representatives upon request. Failure to do so may result in a violation for fare evasion issued by transit police.
What happens if I am on a waiting list?
You will need to be officially registered in at least one eligible course (and have paid your fees) before you can receive a U-Pass BC.
