Information Sessions

Learn About Langara

Are you wondering if Langara College is right for you? Deciding upon a post-secondary institution can be an overwhelming experience. Learn About Langara, a 60-minute information session offered by the Langara College Counselling Department, is designed to give you an introduction to Langara College, an overview of course and program offerings, an understanding of tuition structure, as well as information about the application process and diagnostic testing. Questions are encouraged during this session and you can expect to leave better informed and more confident about your decision to attend Langara College.

It is not necessary to attend a Learn About Langara session before applying to the College. As a prospective student, you are encouraged to apply and to start your educational planning as early as possible.

Course Planning Sessions For New Arts and Science Applicants

Figuring out which courses to take and understanding how the BC transfer system works can be very confusing. Course Planning for New Arts and Science Applicants is a 90 minute session designed to help you understand university entrance requirements, as well as the requirements for faculties and majors. You will be introduced to the various course-planning tools needed for planning your university-transfer program.

Students who attend a Course Planning Session will be provided with information they need to successfully plan their university-transfer program. These sessions do fill up quickly, please arrive early to ensure seating.

Due to the large number of students wanting to meet with a counsellor, the Langara Counselling Department requires that new Arts and Science students attend a ‘Course Planning Session’ before receiving individual assistance. As counselling appointments are limited, you are strongly advised to start your educational planning early.
