Celebrating Success! 2011 Outstanding Alumni Awards
Bruce Hurst and Gary Mason were honoured at Langara's Outstanding Alumni Awards reception and presentation held on May 5, 2011 at the Langara Golf Course. The awards are presented annually to celebrate the contribution of exceptional individuals who have enhanced the reputation of the College through their inspirational career, public service, community service, athletic, arts and culture, or academic achievement.
"Selection of our 2011 Outstanding Alumni Award recipients is a testament to their talent, determination, and ambition. On behalf of the Langara alumni and the College, we are proud to claim both Gary Mason and Bruce Hurst as alumni," said Ajay Patel, Chair, Langara Alumni Association.
Gary Mason received the 2011 Outstanding Alumni Award for professional achievement for his accomplishments in the field of Journalism. Bruce Hurst received the 2011 Outstanding Alumni Award for Business Achievement for his dedication, hard work and commitment to the professional accounting industry.
The event was sponsored by Genus Capital Management and the Bounty Cellars Group.
