Sustainability (CS)

Overview

Ecological sustainability refers to the ability of biological systems to remain diverse and productive over time. A broader definition of sustainability refers to the capacity of ecological, economic, social and cultural systems to remain productive and support human wellbeing. There is now abundant scientific evidence that humanity is living unsustainably. The depletion of natural resources, climate change, economic instability and inequity are all signs that humans, particularly in the western world, are compromising the wellbeing of the natural world and are living beyond the carrying capacity of the earth.

Our courses and learning activities are geared to those who wish to explore the roots causes of sustainability and the systemic changes needed for a more sustainable world.
