Facilities

Journalism students use the latest Macintosh computers loaded with current writing and publishing software, including MS Word, PhotoShop, InDesign, as well as software for digital radio and television editing. One computer lab is used primarily for teaching while the other serves as the “newsroom” where students produce the weekly newspaper, The Voice, and a digital news site, The Voice Online.

Three studios for digital sound recording are also equipped with Mac computers. Students have access to telephones, a private interview room and copying machines. Digital SLR and video cameras, recorders and other tools required for the practice of journalism in a multimedia world are available to students on a three-day loan basis.
