This is your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel and study in Japan! Led by two native Japanese instructors, Nariko Takayanagi and Akemi Takei, you will visit major Japanese cities (Tokyo, Yokohama, Kyoto, Nara and Hiroshima) and experience traditional and contemporary Japanese history and culture.
Archaeology Field School is a unique, hands-on experience offered during the summer semester (May-August). Six to seven weeks of fieldwork involve a daily commute to and from a local site. The focus of the field school is for students to acquire practical skills while contributing to knowledge of the historical and pre-contact time periods in the traditional territory of a First Nation. Students will be gain valuable experience, learn practical skills in site survey and excavation methods in laboratory and field situations, and earn 15 university-transferable credits.
CONAHEC is a consortium of universities and colleges in North America and various other countries that advises and connects institutions interested in establishing or strengthening academic collaborative programs in the North American region.
