Course Description

This course examines world history in the aftermath of World War II. Students examine the rise and course of the global Cold War struggle between the US and the USSR and the many regional conflicts in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East that it spawned. They will also explore the rise of Communist China to global preeminence, the collapse of colonialism, and the end and aftermath of the Cold War.
