What Is Homestay?
The Langara College Homestay Program offers international students an opportunity to practice speaking English and to learn about Canadian culture while living with a local family. Families are chosen because of their commitment to involving students in family life and their interest in learning about other cultures.
Living In Homestay
While living in homestay, students will be provided with their own bedrooms, three meals a day, use of household appliances such as the iron, washer, dryer, and vacuum cleaner. Families will also invite the students to join their activities and try to help them feel like part of the family.
The Homestay Office
Homestay Office provides orientation and ongoing support throughout the homestay period and a Homestay Coordinator is always available to assist students in the event of any difficulties.
