Fee Payment

International Student Deposit

New international students who have been offered admission are required to submit a $6,000 International Student Deposit. This deposit will be applied towards your tuition and any other registration fees and gives you access to the registration system.

If the fees for your courses add up to more than $6,000, you must pay the additional amount before the fee payment deadline published in the Registration Guide & Course Schedule and on our website. If you still owe fees after the fee payment deadline, you will be dropped from all your courses.

Note: If you register for courses after the fee payment deadline, you must pay any additional fees required. Check the Registration Guide & Course Schedule for further information regarding fees and fee payment.

Included in the International Student Deposit is a $500 non-refundable and non-transferable fee. When you register online for your courses, the computer automatically deducts the tuition fee for each course from your student account. You will not be able to check your registration date if the International Student Deposit ($6000 CAD) is not in your student account.

If the Canadian government refuses your application for a study permit, you may request a refund. You must submit a written request to the Registrar’s office, enclosing a copy of the letter of refusal issued by the Immigration section of a Canadian embassy or consulate office.

Methods of Payment

Credit Card

Payments made by VISA or MASTERCARD can be done by logging in to myLangara at www.langara.bc.ca. You may also contact the Financial Services office at 604-323-5296 to give your credit card information (VISA or MASTERCARD card number and expiry date). Please indicate the semester for which you are submitting payment, and ensure that your credit limit is sufficient for your payment.

Wire Transfer

If you are overseas and wish to wire the money to the Langara College bank account, please note the following details:

Your full name, Langara Identification Number and semester that you are paying for must be shown on the wire transfer. We also recommend that you fax us a copy of the wire transfer record so that we can ensure the money is deposited to your student account. Our fax number is 604-323-5356. Since banks may levy a service fee on the Canadian side, it is recommended that you wire an additional $50 to ensure that bank charges are covered.
