BOOK LAUNCH & RECEPTION:
Staying True, Staying the Course - Lessons from 10 Successful Community Services Organizations in BC, 1997-2008

By Michael Clague in collaboration with Leslie Kemp and Juliet Huntley

Monday, November 30, 2009 from 4:30pm - 6:00pm
Employee Lounge (Building A)

A resource for leaders in the non-profit community services sector, for funders, and for policy makers concerned with the planning and provision of human care services, this book reports the experiences of 10 community service organizations from around British Columbia, selected from more than 80 that not only endure, but have made a qualitative difference in the lives of their clients and of their communities. Despite mistakes and set-backs they have made difficult decisions, acted creatively and remained true to their mission.

The study and book was made possible with financial support from the Samuel and Saidye Bronfman Family Foundation, Carold Institute, Langara College Continuing Studies, the Kahanoff Institute, Vancity Community Foundation and the Vancouver Foundation.
