Elementary School Math Fair Visits
Students and instructors from our Math 1190 (Math for Elementary Educators) have prepared a selection of mathematical games and puzzles which they take to interested elementary schools to promote mathematics as a fun activity. These activities are selected from those presented at the regular 'Math Fair' which students in Math 1190 present in the Langara College main lobby each semester.
This outreach project is undertaken in collaboration with PIMS (The Pacific Institute for Mathematical Sciences) with which we are affiliated as an Associate Member.
Statistics Poster Exhibition
At the end of most semesters, some of our Stats 1123, 1124 and 1181 students will put on a Statistics Poster Expo. Come and see results of our student research projects.
