The Junior Team (Gavin Randhawa, JT Laird, Lara Howel and Katrina McGuire) Won Top Team beating out other teams from College of the Rockies, Okanagan College and Camosun. The Senior Team (Zain Khoja, Justin Dhesi, Gabriel Lu and Jade Solacito) came in Second Place in a field of teams from College of the Rockies, Okanagan College, Camosun, Medicine Hat and St. Lawrence College (Ontario).

In addition to the team awards, individual awards were won by Junior CEO Gavin Randhawa, Junior COO Lara Hawel and Senior CFO Gabriel Lu.

Langara was represented very well this year, as these five awards were the largest number won by any college participating in the event.

Chris Milton and Don Hill jointly coached both these award-winning teams!

For the competition, teams manage a company producing bikes for approx. 10 periods, with decisions starting a few weeks prior to the main weekend.  The main event is held at Okanagan College in Kelowna and consists of making decisions and doing presentations both as a team and as individuals (for their specific area of responsibility).

The success measurement is a matrix that has three major components; a) performance in the simulation along several metrics, b) one on one by role with the judge for your role and c) presentations to a Board of Directors composed of local business people.

Congratulations go out to all members of both teams for their hard work and an excellent job!!
