Travel Details
Accommodations:
All participants MUST be willing to share economy accommodations generally two to four persons per room and be flexible and considerate. Accommodations will consist of a variety of campsites with mobile homes and economy hotels, most in central locations, as well as a 16th Century Villa in Tuscany. All rooms will be Non-Smoking and there will be designated study areas where available.
Meals:
Most accommodations provide breakfast, and a number of evening meals will be provided on travel days upon arrival in new locations. Breakfast and dinner are provided every day while in Paris.
In addition arrangements will be made for group meals in the evenings where facilities co-exist with accommodations. Available on a sign up basis, these meals usually consist of three courses and are generally priced between $15 and $20 Canadian Dollars. A very good value, we recommend that students take advantage of all group meals when they are offered as this will be beneficial both to your health and budget.
Indemnity:
Each participant must obtain from the Instructor and sign a release form that allows the College, Employees, Contractors and Instructors to be free of liability in respect of this Study Abroad Program. All Participants are expected to be responsible adults and are treated as such.
Medical:
Participants are responsible for their own medical coverage while overseas. Check with B.C. Medical or your Extended Health Plan to determine whether you have sufficient coverage.
No special immunizations are required for Europe, although a visit to your Doctor and Dentist to discuss any pertinent health issues is strongly advised.
All participants are required to complete a confidential medical history form and must make all medical problems and conditions known to the Instructor and Program Manager. Should a medical emergency arise the Instructor and Program Manager must be able to deal with it appropriately.
Travel, cancellation and missed flight insurance is recommended.
