Cari Green is a leading film and television producer with over twenty-five years experience in film and television, and a solid background in distribution, sales and marketing. Cari has owned and operated four independent film companies and has produced the works of renowned Canadian and International filmmakers including ScaredSacred, 2006 Genie winner and The Corporation, an international theatrical hit feature film. Previously, Cari shaped a film distribution company (Moving Images) into a viable entity for emerging and established filmmakers. Cari is a longtime advocate for the Canadian film industry, serving on many organizations in executive and board positions including: DOC, Women in Film and Video, Hot Docs, DOXA, and the First Weekend Club. Cari produced the DVD of ScaredSacred for distribution in North America in May 2006, followed by Australia and New Zealand. She is also developing an innovative project with the National Film Board of Canada, The Global Women's Memorial Website. Cari is a recipient of the Women in Film lifetime achievement award.
Brian Hammond is a Ryerson Alumni with almost 25 years experience as a Producer, Director, Technical Director and Editor in both film and video. His credits include work produced for a variety of Canadian and American television networks, independent producers and production companies. He has provided production and technical expertise for projects ranging from commercials and television series, to documentary, corporate video and live event production coverage, as well as post production consultation. He is founder of Pilot-West Video Services.
Annat Kennet, a producer/director/editor and experienced trainer, worked for the BBC, Channel 4, and Cannon Films. She also worked with Eric Clapton, Julian Temple and The Rolling Stones, and is a former juror of the Gemini awards for editing.
Producer Sharon McGowan is best known for her feature film Better than Chocolate. The film premiered at the Berlin Film Festival and was released in the US by Trimark Pictures where it played on over 300 screens.
McGowan also produced the feature film The Lotus Eaters, which was nominated for eleven Genie Awards and won three. In 2002 McGowan produced the feature film Saint Monica, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and the Kinderfest Section of the Berlin International Film Festival. McGowan was also a producer on the television film, Society’s Child for the CBC which was nominated for a Best Picture Gemini. McGowan has also been a producer and director of documentaries for more than twenty years including Soul Communion for Vision TV, Ellen’s Story for the Global Network and When the Day Comes for the NFB. She was also a producer on the Gemini award-winning documentary series Weird Homes for Life Network.
