Bonnie Anderson 2011 graduate, YTT Certificate Program+
I feel honored to
have had the opportunity to study yoga teacher training with such a
knowledgeable, committed group of teachers. I feel that each teacher
brought his or her own expertise to the students, making the program
diverse and exciting while remaining true to the governing principles of
Langara college. I am keen to study further with this group, but feel
that I have an excellent grounding that will enable me to make a start
on my own yoga teaching practice.
Barj S. Dhahan 2009 graduate, YTT Certificate Program+
When a student is
ready, the teacher is already there. For many years I had been exploring
the question, “Who am I and how do I effectively and meaningfully live
in a world of challenge and change?” Last year I was drawn to explore
this question further through Langara College’s Yoga Teachers Training
Program. The six month program was a fabulous journey on which I learnt
to breathe and to become more aware of my body. It was a growing and
expanding communion of body, breath, mind and spirit within a caring and
supporting community of a diverse group of learners, students and
teachers alike.
Dana Mahon 2010 graduate, YTT Certificate Program+
My experience with the Langara YTT Program was truly unforgettable. The
combination of theory, practical and experiential learning allowed me
to gain a much deeper insight into the beautiful ancient practice of
yoga. Thanks to the guidance, support and nurturing of the professional
and knowledgeable faculty, I feel very confident in my skills and
abilities and I look forward to sharing this with my community as I move
forward into the world of teaching.
Michelle Merry 2011 graduate, YTT Certificate Program+
Be prepared to work
hard, make lifelong friends, have fun and be empowered to finally enter
the sacred space of a yoga teacher. This holistic program is life
changing, brilliantly organized, and thorough covering all aspects of
yoga, from its history to anatomy and physiology. All members of the
faculty are extremely knowledgeable, and warmly draw the student
towards embracing yoga as a way of life. I would recommend this program
to anyone, in any stage of life, and in any stage of yoga practice.
Sue Rogers 2010 graduate, YTT Certificate Program+
The YTT program created a
sacred space where we became a village, building trust and supporting
each other in finding our voices as yoga teachers. I had the opportunity
to integrate yoga more deeply into my life and now have a solid
foundation to begin teaching.
Stephanie Ruane 2011 graduate, YTT Certificate Program+
In
my search for practical skills as a Yoga practitioner I discovered so
much more. Langara’s YTT program lead me through six months of self
discovery leaving me with more then a grocery bag of skills. Yoga is so
rich with history and subtle intricacies that have been woven into my
daily fabric which brings a lesson for everyone to enjoy and benefit
from. I am forever grateful to the six months I shared with my peers and
the talented faculty of their Yoga Teacher Training Program.
Tracy Sundbo 2010 graduate, YTT Certificate Program+
My journey through the
Langara College Yoga Teacher Training program was life transforming. It
truly exceeded my expectations. The faculty presented and delivered the
program content from a place of experience and encouraged me to explore
myself at a deeper level. Taking this course was one of my best life
decisions.

I am so happy that I decided to go to
India for further yoga teacher training through Langara's India
Internship program. It was planned so thoughtfully and carefully...every
detail was taken care of so that I was able to relax and deepen my Yoga
practice and training, as well as enjoy the culture of India. It was an
incredible experience that I will never forget.
Barj S. Dhahan India Yoga Studies & Retreat+
The trip to India and living in an ashram in Rishikesh for two weeks was truly a once in a life time experience. I enjoyed the daily routine of silence, yoga practise, study and communal meals consisting of simple but delicious vegetarian Indian meals. I have learnt so much on this journey exploring self and the ways in which I am connected with all living beings and the planet. I am a relatively new pilgrim on this path. It requires effort and dedication to stay on the journey for it is life-long. As a result of this course I feel less afraid and more courageous to live my life fully.

The advanced yoga retreat in Rishikesh,
India was also a phenomenal experience! I truly got to experience the
beauty of yoga in one of the most beautiful and spiritual places in the
world. I highly recommend the Langara YTT program for future yoga
teachers as you will receive an excellent, well-rounded educational
experience!

The Northern India Yoga Retreat was one
the most amazing life experiences I’ve ever had. I was able to explore
myself, and my yoga practice at a much deeper level at the same time
feeling safe and secure. The faculty that guided us through our journey
were supportive, caring and taught me more about life in 3 weeks than I
feel like I’ve learned in a lifetime. Experiencing the country, people
and traditions of India with my fellow yogis from Langara helped me gain
a new perspective. Not only about teaching yoga, but more importantly,
about the place in my heart where I teach Yoga from.
Sarah Jamension India Yoga Studies & Retreat+
The Northern Studies Retreat is an
experience beyond words. I can only hope that my teaching and my actions
convey what I learned and gained from participating in this program,
because, thus far, I have been unable to find the words. If you’re
reading this testimonial, I’m assuming you are thinking about going, and
in response to those thoughts, I would simply say, “Don’t think, just
go.”
