Skills Training for English Proficiency (STEP)

Intensive Day Program in English Skills Development

The STEP Program is an exciting, full-time, intensive English language program designed for students at a beginner to low intermediate level. Through exploring a variety of topics, materials, and activities, the STEP classroom is transformed into a living language environment where students develop their English language skills while expanding their knowledge of Vancouver, Canada, and the world. Students who complete the highest level of STEP can enter the LEAP Program.

Program Highlights

  • 3 levels, beginner to low intermediate
  • 7-week sessions
  • 20 hours/week, Monday to Friday
  • Classes scheduled between 8:30am – 5:30pm
  • Approximately 2 hours of homework per day
  • Integrated skills (develop all 4 skill areas together)
  • Educational outings and guest speakers connected to course topics
