The Lab
The Lab is one of Vancouver's largest and most established commercial photographic labs. They have extensive capabilities in colour and black and white processing and printing as well as being one of the best digital labs around.
CAPIC
The Canadian Association of Photographers and Illustrators in Communications. This is Canada's national association for commercial photographers.
Kodak
For up to date information on new films and products. Also, check the Kodak professional photographers page for portfolios from commercial shooters such as Hans Neleman.
Photo District News
Photo District News online magazine for some superbly written and relevant articles on legal and ethical photographic issues.
Ilford
Ilford's on line resource for up to date information on films, papers and chemicals.
Portfolios Online
One of Canada's top online portfolio sites for commercial photographers, illustrators, designers and reps from all over North America. Some pretty stunning work to check out.
American Museum of Photography
One of the most extraordinary collections of historic images - from Willian Henry Fox Talbot to Ansel Adams - in North America. Also a superb venue for studying historical processes.
PPOC
The Professional Photographers of Canada is one of the most established associations for photographers in Canada. Their membership include some of the most succesful portrait photographers in the business.
BeauPhoto
One of Vancouver's most recognized professional photography outlets, with a rental department that caters to some of the biggest shooters in the business.
PhotoSource
An excellent resource for photographers, especially those working with black and white. This site has one of the most complete processing charts for black and white films that I have ever seen.
The Work Book
Another of the larger advertising directories for commercial photographers. This site is also packed with some pretty extraordinary photography.
