Digital Media
The Digital Media Series is a collection of production software courses for the applied arts. This is not a certificate program; it is simply an extensive collection of software courses that are open to everyone. Students in the Photography, Communication Arts, and Electronic Media Design programs often access these courses, however you do not have to be a part of those programs to do so. The courses within this program are very in-depth, but they are designed to guide students right from the beginning so you are not required to have previous experience for any Level 1 course. The majority of courses run for 10–12 weeks and are scheduled one evening per week for the duration of the course.
Courses in the Digital Media Series are taught by top professionals from the applied arts industry. These courses may certainly be used for individuals who are training for vocational purposes, but they are also very useful for students who wish to use incredibly versatile software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign or Apple’s Final Cut Studio Pro. The program also includes very high-level courses in other industry standard software applications such as Flash and Dreamweaver. If you have just purchased a Mac computer and are completely new to the Mac environment, then we have a very thorough Macintosh Introduction course to help get you started.
