Duration 16 weeks Full-time Monday-Friday (495 hours).The Part-time program runs on eves and weekends. It is a different program.

Program Cost Full-time: $8,300, Application fee (non-refundable) $100. Student loans available where applicable for full time students. Full time students will need their own external drive for editing. You will also need to purchase 2 books. Part-time Costs: Individual course costs apply please check.

Application Forms

There are no set dates to submit your application. Applicants must go through a formal application process to enter the program. Once your application has been received and processed you will be notified of an interview time within 1-2 weeks. If you are living out of town this may be done via a telephone call.

Admission Requirements:

  • 18 years of age
  • Completion of grade 12 or mature student status
  • Personal interview and proven interest in working in the film industry

Students are asked to provide a written letter outlining their reasons for attending this course with their application and detailing any past involvement in film or video production, or related entertainment fields (paid or voluntary) and proof of completion of related courses.
Students may wish to add supporting materials such as videos, stills, scripts etc. to the application. Only VHS tapes or DVDs can be screened.

Mature Student Status

Applicants who lack the minimum requirements may apply as mature students provided they are 19 years of age or above when entering the program.

Fees

Student loans and HRDC funding is available where applicable. We charge the same fees for Canadian residents and International students.

Full time Program $ $8,300 inclusive.

We recommend that students bring external drives for Editing.
Each intake is limited to 10 students. (30 per annum)

Program Withdrawal

Students withdrawing prior to the first class will receive a partial refund. If you withdraw from the program during the 30 days prior to its start date you will loose your $250 deposit plus the $100 application fee, and this must be done in writing. The $100.00 admission application fee is non-refundable. Students who leave the program during the first week of the program will loose $500 plus their non-refundable application fee of $100 and if they leave in the second week they will loose $1000 plus the $100 non re-fundable application fee. After that there will be no refunds on the course. Students leaving the course must do so in writing. Non-attendance does not constitute withdrawal from the program.
