Certified General Accountants (CGA)
Certified General Accountants (CGA) are leaders in today’s business world. CGAs are professionals who lead by example in their technical knowledge, sector-specific competencies, decision-making skills, and ethical integrity. The CGA program provides graduates with the tools needed to achieve rewarding careers in accounting and finance management.
Langara College provides flexible options for individuals working towards their CGA designation. The College offers a Professional Accounting Certificate program and Level 4 courses that are transferable to the CGA Association of BC for exemptions. Courses are designed to help you develop the knowledge and skills required to effectively communicate, manage, and lead in today’s business environment. The program integrates accounting with general business and information technology tools to allow students to maximize their contribution to the success of their organization.
Students who have completed previous course work and would like to have it approved as a prerequisites or exemptions towards the certificate must provide documents, in the form of an official transcripts, along with a completed Exemption/Prerequisite Approval Form before registration.
International students are required to comply with Academic, English Proficiency and Study Permit requirements. Please contact the International Education Department for more information.
