Two standard Langara College signature files have been created for you in your network account folder.
Depending on your email program, you will use either LC_Signature.html or LC_Signature.txt.
Windows users will find these files in H:\Data.
Mac users will find them in the “Data” folder in their shared network drive
( \\EMPLHOME_SERVER\HOME\accounts\EMPL\<<username>>\Data\ ).
Please follow the steps below to start using your Langara College signature template.
If you use Thunderbird for email (PC):
- In Thunderbird, go to Tools -> Account Settings.
- On the main Account Settings page, choose Attach this signature from a file.
- Click the Choose... button and select the LC_Signature.html file.
- From the left column, choose Composition & Addressing.
- There, check the Compose messages in HTML format option.
- Click the OK button to close the Account Settings dialog.
- Go to Tools -> Options.
- On the Composition page, click the Send Options... button and choose Send the message in both plain text and HTML from the drop down menu. (Any of the other options are fine, too, but recipients may not accept HTML messages, in which case you'll want them to receive yours as plain text.) Click the OK button.
- Click the OK button to close the Options dialog box.
The next time you compose a message in Thunderbird, you should see your e-mail signature at the bottom of the message body.
