What Is myFiles?
You can use myFiles, from anywhere on the internet, to retrieve and save files on the H:, J: or I: drives.
Mac users: these files are on the Falcon, Eagle, or Jay servers.
Accessing myFiles
- Surf to http://myfiles.langara.bc.ca.
- In the pop-up window, enter the ID and password you use to log in to computers on campus.
- To better protect your files, choose not to save your password.

Getting files from your H: Drive
To see the contents of your H: drive (Mac Users: "Falcon"), click the Home@AVES folder in the left-side "Folders" panel. You should then see in the righthand pane a listing of your folders and files.
To edit a file you have to download it to your local computer. Do so using one of the following methods:
- Double-click the file.
- Right-click the file and choose "Download..." ( Mac Users: control-click it).
- Click the check-box next to the file name, click the "File" menu in the right panel and choose "Download…".
Uploading files to your H: Drive
To place a copy of the edited file back in your H: drive:
- Return to the NetStorage browser window.
- Click the "File" menu in the right panel (not the browser's File menu) and choose "Upload…".

3. You should get an "Upload File" dialog.

4. Click "Browse" and navigate to the file you want to save back to your H: drive.
5. In the dialog, select the file. To upload additional files, click the plus (+) button next to the browse button
6. Click "Upload".
Leaving myFiles
When finished using NetStorage, click the "door" icon to log out.
