From Jan 1, 2007, you may be eligible to claim a textbook credit on your income tax. Your claim will be based upon the number of months that you are in part-time or full-time attendance at a recognized Post-Secondary Institution (PSI). This is given in form T2202A, which is issued by the PSI, as follows:
- Part-time students: claim is number of months x $20
- Full-time students: claim is number of months x $65
Note: Bookstore receipts are not required for this claims program.
