Congratulations go out to Gurjote Jhaj who was named PacWest Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week !
Gurjot is a second year guard from Richmond that is currently leading the PACWEST in scoring at
21.26 ppg and is also top 10 in assists.
The Falcons played host to the 6-3 Capilano University Blues on Friday night and came out firing on
all cylinders as they established 17 point lead by the end of the first quarter. The Falcons continued
to push and never looked back on their way to a 94-65 victory. Jhaj was a key to their offensive
attack as he scored 20 points on 9/13 shooting from the field and added 3 assists and 3 steals to
round out his stat line.
Saturday's game against the visiting Kermodes was a much closer affair early on with the Falcons
leading by 1 at halftime. Langara began to pull away in the second half thanks to a 36 point 3rd
quarter, 20 of which were scored by Jhaj. Jhaj would end up scoring 37 points on 12/15 from the
field, including 7/10 from the 3 point line. His 57 point weekend helped the Falcons jump from 6th to
4th place in the PACWEST standings.
