Results & Explanation of Scores

The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act prevents Langara staff from releasing results over the phone or by email.  Results are available online, usually by the Friday following the exam, and instructions for viewing results are handed out after each exam.  Results are not mailed out.

Getting your LET results online

Please Note

Students can use the computer terminals by the cafeteria.

Students will need their Langara Identification Number (LIN).

If students have forgotten their LIN, they can bring photo ID to Registrar and Enrolment Services and get their LIN.

  • Go to the Langara College home page (www.langara.bc.ca).
  • Click on “login” (on the top bar of web page).
  • Click “OK.”
  • Click on “Web Registration System” (in box on right side of page).
  • Type your Login ID or LIN (this is your student number).
  • Type in your PIN/Password.
    • New students are given a default PIN which consists of the first initial of the first name and the first initial of the last name, both in capital letters, followed by a dash and the date of birth in year/month/day format (XX-YYYYMMDD). For example, if your name were Homer Smyth and your birthday were May 18, 1978, your PIN would by HS-19780518.
  • Click on “Login” or hit “Enter.”

If this is your first login, you may be asked to create a password reminder, a question and answer in case you forget your password in the future.

  • Click on “Students.”
  • In the OnLine Self Service box on the left side, find "Regular Studies Quick Links" and click on it.
  • Click on “Student Records.”
  • Click on “View Your Prerequisites and Test Scores” - Unless you got a zero, or there is some problem, the LET score will be in this field.

If, after 10 days, the result is not online, phone the Division Assistant at 604.323.5005. Results are not given out over the phone, but the Division Assistant can direct students to the appropriate person.

The student's writing is very good.  The best course for the student is ENGL 1128 (though he or she may register for ENGL 1127 if he or she wants).

Note:  When a student writes the exam more than once, the most recent score counts, not the highest score.
