The Chemistry Diagnostic Test is designed for those students who have completed their prerequisites outside of the British Columbia Secondary School system. The test assesses the student's knowledge of chemical principles and their applications. Based on the test results, Faculty members will assign students to one of Chemistry 1114, 1118 or 1120. The Diagnostic Test may not be used instead of the normal prerequisites.
A student can write a test only once in three years. Also, a person who has been enrolled in a Langara Chemistry course is not eligible to write the CDT for a period of 9 semesters after the last date of enrollment in a Langara Chemistry course.
