Posting Process
Important Dates for Co-op Employers
The hiring process starts in the term just before the work term. For example, hiring for positions in the summer term (May - August) took place in the in the spring term (January - April).
We are always recruiting employers for the next work term (starting January, May, September).
We have no deadlines for submitting postings. Employers may post jobs at any time during a term as the hiring process continues on an on-going basis. Employers that post early, however, will have access to a larger pool of students.
At Langara College, we do not use the ranking system. Students are hired on a first-come, first-served basis.
Post a Co-op Job
E-mail your job posting to coop@langara.bc.ca preferably as a Word attachment. If you do not have a job description, tell us what you need. We’ll help you write one. Let us know if you have any “company-specific” forms you want included in the application package. There is no charge to post a job opportunity.
We can be reached at 604.323.5480 or 604.323.5492.
Post a Job for Graduates
Each term, Langara College graduates a group of skilled individuals who are seeking full-time employment. To access these career-oriented individuals, post your job on Workopolis Campus free of charge.
Our Co-op Education Instructors are often in contact with students who are close to graduation and graduates who are looking for work. We would be pleased to let them know about any opportunities within your organization. E-mail your job posting to us at coop@langara.bc.ca, preferably as a Word attachment, and we will see that our co-op graduates receive notification that you are hiring.
Canada Summer Jobs Program

It provides funding for not-for-profit organizations, public-sector employers and small businesses with 50 or fewer employees to create high-quality summer job opportunities (this includes co-op placements) for students between the ages of 15 and 30.
If you are interested in participating or would like more information, visit the Service Canada Website. The application period for Canada Summer Jobs 2009 will be from February 2 to February 27, 2009.
