What will we do for you?
- Post your job at no cost
- Give you feedback on how to attract students to your job
- Be a mediating point of contact…you deal with us, we deal with the students
- Supply you with applicants who are above average students and committed to proving themselves in the workplace
- Contact the students to arrange interviews at the time and place of your choice
- Provide information on salary expectations/trends
- Communicate the offer to the student and mediate any questions or concerns
- Be available throughout the term to discuss issues that may arise
- Visit the student on site to facilitate evaluation and monitor progress
What can you do for us?
To make the work term as successful as possible for both you and the student, we ask that you follow these guidelines:
- Provide the co-op student with an orientation to your organization during their first week. Introduce the student to co-workers and managers, discuss work term expectations, outline company goals, review company confidentiality expectations.
- Provide the student with a supervisor
- Give feedback on regular basis
- Participate in an on-site meeting with the student and Co-op Education Instructor
- Complete a brief Student Evaluation Form at the end of the work term. The student will provide the form.
