Who is eligible to submit a proposal?
All employees.
What types of projects are eligible for funding?
To be eligible, projects must work to develop and/or test innovative ideas. Projects may be cross-discipline. Project topic examples include (but are not limited to):
- Increased Student Success
- Process Improvement
- Applied Research
- Community Partnerships
- Sustainability
- Pedagogy
Examples of acceptable use of funding are: travel, student support, materials, and conferences.
How is funding allocated?
Funding is allocated based on project merit on a per application basis. Cross-disciplinary projects with more than one project lead may be considered for multiple funding opportunities.
What is the application deadline?
The application deadline is Wednesday, January 25, 2012.
How do I apply for funding?
Simply provide the following information:
- Description of proposed project
- How the initiative aligns with the Strategic Plan and identification of expected outcomes
- Who will be involved? (Internal and external, if applicable)
- Work plan and timeline for completion
- Budget (both financial and other resources that will be required)
May I submit more than one proposal?
Yes, of course. All ideas are welcome. Each will be evaluated on its own merit.

When will we know who has received funding?
Proposals approved for funding will be announced the week of March 5, 2012.
How long will I have to complete a project?
Projects should be completed by December 2012.
How will project progress be assessed?
An interim project report will be due in September 2012 and a formal project report will be due at the end of the project, no later than January 31, 2013. It is anticipated that presentations will be made to the College community in the Spring of 2013.
