Description of Position:
To teach a Library and Information Technology course related to creating and managing digital collections.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree plus related professional experience working with digital collections in a library environment. Your experience includes an understanding of the tasks involved in creating and managing digital collections, and project management.
- Knowledge of digital copyright, metadata schema, imaging, and the skills and aptitudes necessary to work in this environment are essential.
- Post-secondary teaching experience is preferred.
Length of appointment: May 1 to August 31, 2012
Start Date: May 1, 2012
Salary Range: Salary placement on Langara instructors’ salary scale in accordance with qualifications and experience.
